A while back I told the students about how my Grampy (Grampy Dave) always says," Apple pie without the cheese, is like a hug without the squeeze!" The kiddos thought that sounded gross, so I told them about how I used to serve Cheddar/Apple Toastinis and we began a writing lesson on how to make them. This then blossomed into making them the next day! Guess what? They all liked them!
