MAGNETIC FORCES!

This past week we have been studying Magnetic Forces.  The students have been testing magnets to find the answers to these questions...

Which items in our room stick to magnets?  Why do they stick?  How many paperclips can our magnets hold?  What makes metal magnetic?  Do magnets work through paper, cups, fabric, and wood?  They loved the time they spent exploring with magnets!

 Magnets do work through paper!

Magnets even stick to our backpack zippers.

A LITTLE TREAT FOR WHEN THEY RETURN FROM VACATION! COME ON IN AND HAVE A SLICE!

I set up a Kindergarten Pizza Parlor today for a dramatic play area!  I think the kids will be excited when they come in and see it.  Come on in and have a slice...the waitstaff are wonderful and the chefs are top notch!

USING THE LEFTOVER TREE BRANCHES, MY STUDENTS CREATED HABITATS FOR THE DINOSAURS!

At the end of the day, I gave the kids the leftover bows from the arrangements supplies and told them they could use them to create anything they would like.  They went to town!  Using old egg cartons and the branches, they created nests, caves, and more!  They were truly engaged and had a lot fun.  I just love that creativity!
