BABY IT'S HOT OUTSIDE...AND INSIDE!

The other day was SO hot!  Inside our classroom it was 82 degrees and outside was about the same!  The students came in from recess and we took a "field trip".  Where you  might ask?  You didn't see the permission slip?  Well, it was an impromptu field trip to the AIR CONDITIONED office!  We took two minutes to relax, cool off, and "chill" in the frosty comfort.  The ladies in the office got a kick out of it, and we felt better afterwards!  They were very quiet and respectful during this "field trip".  CUTE!

ADVENTURES WITH PETE THE CAT!

The Pete the Cat series is our new favorite book collection to read!  We have three out of the four... however the fourth is on order from Brown Dog!  Pete is a lovable blue cat that is groovy and positive.  The book can be read, or you can go to the Pete the Cat website and sing along with the catchy tune!  The kids love these songs and they get stuck in their heads  (and mine) all day long!

I don't remember who started it, but instead of trying to pin the shoe on Pete, someone started to pin it on me!  Mrs. Johnson's class was also involved in the action!  I even had one on my earring!  You should have heard the roars of laughter!  It's moments like these that make my job so wonderful!

MRS. JOHNSON'S CLASS WORKS WITH US DURING MATH STATIONS!

The other day, Mrs. Johnson's class came over to do math stations with us.  We had so much fun with our friends!  The cool thing about the end of the year, is that we get to do some different activities such as this one!  We had 35 students in the classroom, but you couldn't tell!  They were so busy and engaged!
