Writing Center

We now have a writing center in our classroom where students can compose letters and postcards to people of their choice. They get to use pens, writing paper, envelopes, and stamps! It has been a popular center lately...and the best part is that they don't even know they are learning! Practicing their letters and writing words as they sound them out couldn't be any more fun!

Chloe swam 100 strokes totaling 250 feet! On her poster she had rolled up string that measured 250 ft and we rolled it out to see how far she swam. It was longer than our hallway!

Snow Mountain!

Here are the kids on "Snow Mountain" right outside our classroom door. If everyone in the class stayed on "green", they earned time to play on the summit! As you can well imagine...these pictures are from weeks ago as our mountain no longer exists!

Australian Feast!

Above is our Australian table full of Aussie artifacts such as... Australian stuffed animals, coral and shells from Australia, a Aussie Rules team scarf, and a boomerang. Below are our Australian Food items that we were able to try on Friday! We tried Pavlova (the fruity merange), Damper (the round bread), Anzac biscuits (the cookies), Beef curry (which most of them loved), and Wilder's Australian birthday cake! YUMMY! Thanks to the parents for our tasty treats!
