MORE ST. PATTY'S DAY FUN...MAKING LEPRECHAUN TRAPS!

I am always so amazed at the time the students will stay focused on this activity!  They worked for an hour!  The coolest thing was that they worked TOGETHER...and I didn't have to help out with any disagreements!  In fact, there were NO disagreements at all!  Unfortunately we didn't catch the Leprechauns, but they did leave us some treats.  See the next post (which will actually be before this one) for the Leprechaun "treats".

ST. PATRICK'S DAY FUN! MAKING RAINBOWS!

See the photos (below) of the students making these great rainbows...and maybe sampling a bit of the "art" materials.

ANOTHER PARENT VOLUNTEER COMES IN! THIS TIME IT WAS MY MOM!

The Wednesday before vacation was a special day!  My mom (Mini, as my boys call her) came in to make homemade soft pretzels with us!  We used her dough maker and then shaped our own pretzels.  The best part was eating them!  We used the whole wheat and carrot recipe that I used to make with mom when I was little.  It was fun to see my students enjoying their pretzels in the afternoon!
