Our Leprechaun Traps!
Leprechaun Traps!
Using recyclables, tape, glue, string, and anything they could imagine using, the students created their leprechaun traps. These traps are used to trap leprechauns, enabling us to keep their pots of gold. Unfortunately we didn't catch any, however gold glitter appeared on the traps as a sign that leprechauns had been there! The students worked diligently for over an hour on these traps, not making a peep! I finally had to say, "sorry guys but we have to finish up." I was amazed at how focused and engaged they were on this project! So cool! Check out my next post for the video descriptions of how each trap works.

Saint Patrick's Day Surprise!
On St. Patrick's Day our classroom was visited by a sneaky Leprechaun! He left us a note, his magic potion that turned a white powder into a green tasty treat, and lots and lots of glitter (also known as Leprechaun footprints). He also left us a pot of gold, although he told us it was just plastic gold because he didn't want to give us his real gold! As you can see we liked his magic potion and we were happy he left us golden spoons to stir it with.
