OUR LOVELY LADYBUGS!

Our Ladybugs have emerged from their Pupas!  They arrived as Larvae, changed into the  Pupa, and now have come out as our very own Ladybugs!  We will release them next week.  Our plan is to release them in the garden so they can protect our plants from Aphids!  (That was the plan that the kiddos came up with!)

LEARNING ABOUT LADYBUGS!

Dancing before our "Plant Parade".  Susan Lepple and Heidi Simkins came in today and helped us move the plants from the Flex Space to the great outdoors!  We had a plant parade through the cafeteria and the older students cheered us on!  These plants will eventually go into our school garden!

Getting the Ladybug hats on!

SHIVER ME LETTERS! USING LETTER MAPS TO FIND OUR LETTERS AROUND THE ROOM!

USING OUR NEW iPads!

Thanks to a PiE grant, the kindergarten received 5 iPads!  A week or so ago, we used the "compass" app to find our way around the garden.  I would give them directions like, "go west, now go north".  They used the compasses in teams and did a great job.  We have been studying maps and the kids have had a great time!

And of course we found some nature!
