Above the story is of the kids riding bikes across a bridge and falling off into the ocean. In the ocean, they find a treasure chest! The other day, I divided my class into two groups. Each group wrote a story to read to the other half of our class. In Writer's Workshop we practice what good writers do: 1. Think 2. Draw 3. Label 4. Write 5. Add details So, together we "wrote" a story paying close attention to all of the things good writers do. The students LOVED this activity and worked really hard to think of a story their friends would be interested in. At the end, they all worked together to add the details (color, more pictures, more labels, and even some more words) |
