| It all started with a container of ice! Solid! And from there we turned solid into liquid! How did we do this you might ask? With just one or two rolls of a die. Confused? Read on....The kids each took an ice cube and placed it in front of them. Their goal was to be the first one to melt the ice cube completely (or scientifically speaking; turn a solid into a liquid). With each turn, the students would roll a die and identify the number they rolled. On the sheet I am holding below, there were directions depending on their number. One was "hold it for a count of ten", another was "drop it down your shirt"! The children had a great time melting their ice and the best part was that everyone cheered for the winner! |
