THE START OF OUR MOTION UNIT!

"What is Motion?"  

One child raised her hand and said, "Motion is like stuff you put on dry skin".  Cute, but not so much (of course I didn't say that to her).  Another answered, "Motion is moving".  Yes! 

And thus began our study of Motion and Force.  Ask your child what motion and force are.

We started our Motion in Force Unit by rolling marbles in paint to see how things move (motion).  We recorded  in our Science Notebooks what we noticed and learned about rolling the marble.  Here's what we noticed...The marble rolls around, back and forth, up and down, and even off the plate!   Hope you enjoyed the artwork in motion!
