While studying Mo Willems this week and last, we read a book called Edwina The Dinosaur Who Didn't Know She was Extinct. It is about a dinosaur named Edwina who bakes the best chocolate chip cookies for everyone in town. A cynic, Reginald Von Hoobie Doobie, is out to prove to the town and Edwina that dinosaurs really are extinct.
Today, I found a note in my classroom addressed to Mrs. Johnson's class and our class from Edwina! We read the letter and it lead us to the end of the hallway and outside! From there we found dinosaur footprints in the snow and a container of chocolate chip cookies! The kids were beside themselves with excitement as you will see in the videos at these links!
